HD Supply Utilities Privacy Policy Statement

HD Supply Utilities has developed has developed and implemented this policy statement to ensure that the confidentiality of personal information is protected. This policy sets out why HD Supply Utilities collects, uses and discloses personal information about HD Supply Utilities', customers' and suppliers' employees. This policy applies to all personal information in the care, control and custody of HD Supply Utilities regardless of the storage media and/or location. Personal information will not be collected without disclosing to the individaul the purpose and dissemination of the information and obtaining their consent.

HD Supply Utilities distributes and delivers product to the utility industry. HD Supply Utilities collects personal information from its customers' and suppliers' employees (home phone or personal cell numbers) for use in emergency situations where an individual needs to be contacted outside of office hours. Personal information is collected from our employees to satisfy statutory and regulatory requirements, for personal emergencies and for social activities. Employees' personal information is not disclosed to anyone other than the persons needing to contact the individual during an emergency situation. Employees personal information is disclosed to third party organizations for business purposes such as benefits and payroll. Personal information for social use is only disclosed to HD Supply Utilities employees.

Evan Finn, Controller has been designated as HD Supply Utilities' Privacy Officer and is responsible for:

Ensuring compliance with the Personal Information and Protection of Electronic Documents Act.
Protecting all personal information held by HD Supply Utilities or transferred to a third party for processing.
Developing, implementing and maintaining this privacy policy and associated procedures.
Providing access to HD Supply Utilities' policy and procedures.
Responding to requests for information and complaints.
Advising individuals on the existence, use and disclosure of their personal information retained by HD Supply Utilities.

HD Supply Utilities makes every effort to ensure that personal information it collects and retains is accurate, complete and up-to-date as necessary for the purposes for which it is collected. HD Supply Utilities protects personal information with security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Any information disclosed to third party organizations is covered by contractual agreements stipulating the confidentiality of the information, the purpose for which it is to be used and the protection of the information while it is in HD Supply Utilities' care. HD Supply Utilities will destry, erase or make-anonymous personal information that it no longer needs to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.

Any complaints concerning the collection, use or disclosure of, or access to personal information must be referred to HD Supply Utilities' Privacy Officer.

This policy is reviewd annually by HD Supply Utilities management team and is updated as required to comply with changes to the Act and what personal information is collected, how it is used and disseminated.
